Totally agree. Beck's videos demonstrate exactly this process.

First, I agree with what Paul just wrote about the indispensibility of this forum.
Hoping to add to that -- at least a little -- I answered my own question about Hyperbolic View in Tinderbox 8 and po...

I would just add a reminder that the $98 per year isn't a subscription or a requirement. Tinderbox keeps working for you just fine after the year is up. Many Tinderbox users don't resubscribe until a ...

I disagree that Tinderbox could be for most people without making it something completely different than it is. Having a thorough User's Manual would help, but it wouldn't change the fact that unless ...

One thing is clear from this discussion and others elsewhere: Tinderbox isn't for everyone. It isn't even for most people. And there is nothing wrong with that. What may seem a waste of time to one pe...

I agree, Paul, that it isn't a lack of engagement with Tinderbox users that is the trouble with Mark Bernstein's approach. But he seems reluctant to do a better job of marketing Tinderbox to potential...

I agree with everything you say. Especially the part about how poorly Mark Bernstein markets Tinderbox. He should be doing use-case videos like Beck does.

Yes, that is a nice change. I am trying to figure out just what "Hyperbolic" view does. Have you seen a demonstration anywhere?

Thanks, Jeffery. I was just on the Eastgate page three hours ago and it was still talking about version 7.5.

One outliner for Mac, iPad, and iPhone

My thoughts on The Hit List too. If they'd only add exporting, it would make a nice outliner.

One outliner for Mac, iPad, and iPhone

I've never understood why Outline calls itself "Outline," because it isn't an outliner. Yes, you can make pages in a hierarchical structure, but that doesn't make it an outliner. The reason I bring th...
Hello. My name is Steve. I am a CRIMPer.

Nimbus Notes Redux

So I got a response from the developer of Nimbus Notes. He (or she) said they are working on a new, improved editor at the moment. After that they are planning to add export functions.

Hi, Mike,
I appreciate the information. I can't, however, find any way to export the data from the Mac app or from the Web app. Is it possible you can only export from the Windows version at this tim...
Anyone using Zettelkasten?

The concept of AskSam was spectacular. The execution, not so much. I bought a copy about 20 years ago. It was very finicky and I could never get reports to print properly. On top of that, the editor w...

I actually fondly remember that version of Evernote. I liked the scrolling roll of notes on the timeline. I wish someone would bring that format back to note-taking.
