Search-as-you-Type
8/10/2015
Development of Zoot has been moving along just fine. It's the development of the documentation that seems to be glacial. Tom Davis promises that it is in the works, but it has been a long time coming....
Search-as-you-Type
8/10/2015
I would suggest you look at Zoot (www.zootsoftware.com). It has a search as you type capability, which, while not blazing fast is pretty good. You'll also find similarities with AskSam. For instance, ...
ASANA - any new reactions
8/10/2015
Continued thanks for the additional comments.
Our needs are not too complex. We really do not need project management in the traditional sense of large scale projects balancing a number of necessary ...
ASANA - any new reactions
8/8/2015
Thanks for the feedback, Bill and Ken. Tagging isn't that important for us, and we are looking for project and task management even more than communications. As far as I can tell from a quick look, Sl...
ASANA - any new reactions
8/6/2015
Hi, all,
My organization is seriously considering using Asana for team collaboration and communication. I am wondering if anyone can give me some commentary about how it is working these days. I know...
Sensational return of Cloud Outliner
8/6/2015
You beat me to it, Bill. I would have said all that you said about Cloud Outliner, though not with the same panache. I used it yesterday for some note-taking and found it to work fine. No heavy liftin...
A bit of CRIMP related humor
8/4/2015
Not only funny, but sadly very, very close to what happens with me all too frequently.

Congratulations on the anniversary. You have a great product.

Hyper Plan
7/28/2015
Andy,
Speaking for myself (and, I think, most of the members of this forum), I appreciate developers contributing to the forum, as long as the posts don't get too commercial.
Could I run Hyperplan ...
Wanted: Daily project logging app
7/27/2015
Another suggestion: MyInfo. You can customize the fields in the outline. You can add tags and notes. And it has a calendar view.

Wanted: Daily project logging app
7/27/2015
If you're working in Windows, Zoot will do most of this. It has a steep learning curve, and there is still no help documentation for the latest version, so be aware of that. Also I don't think it has ...

IQTell?
7/15/2015
Hi, Ken,
I'm sad to say that my use of IQTell never got any traction. I suspect, as I usually do, that this is my deficiency, not the software. I remain impressed by the feature set, especially the a...

PIM for Linux and Win7?
7/11/2015
Paul,
Have you looked at Notecase Pro? I think it can do what you are looking for, though I'm not sure.

I just bought a copy and am already running ConnectedText on my Mac with it. Just FYI for anyone considering Crossover, which allows you to run many Windows applications on the Mac without installing ...
I just stumbled across an intriguing note-taking app for iOS devices called Pendo. With it you create and write notes, then select the type: journal, todo, calendar, contact, and others. Anyway, there...
New task manager

Thank you. That's good to know.
New task manager

Do you know if the data on your mobile devices is available even when not connected to the Internet? That's important to me, as I live in a rural area where I can't always be certain of being online.

FoldingText for Atom text editor

Caution: Rant Alert!
Let me start this small rant with this: Jesse Grosjean of Hogbay Software is entitled to run his business anyway he wants. HOWEVER, as someone who has purchased FoldingText and T...
Index Card v4 for iOS
6/26/2015
Index Cards is a nice app, one I've admired without using it much. As you say, once Scrivener for iPad comes out, there may be no reason to use this app at all.
If I were the developer, I'd think ser...
Brainstorm SW
6/17/2015
Brainstorm SW is an excellent tool for gathering ideas then organizing them. It is highly keyboard-centric, so if you are not familiar with the shortcuts, it can feel a bit cumbersome. But when you AR...
Nimbus Notes
6/15/2015
So this was a super long thread that started as a question about Nimbus Notes and then barely mentioned the app again. Love it.
However, I am wondering if anyone is using Nimbus Notes and what they t...

Wow. Great find. I thought I'd looked at every iPad notebook app there is. Thanks for the heads up.

I've experienced silence from a developer after encountering a major issue. I used to use Sandvox by Karelia Software to manage a website. The software was easy to use and did what I needed it to do, ...
