Thank you for your summary — and thank you for this interesting thread — Steve.
This forum is slewing more toward macOS these days — at least from this list. (Albeit, some of thos...
The small index cards to carry around is a method I use more often than OmniFocus. (Though I use OF and DropTask side by side frequently.)
It seems that the "productivity" craze is fueled by a pe...
Can you describe your “paper system” a bit — or perhaps you covered it elsewhere? I’ve been thinking I would collect less dreck than I do in OmniFocus if I put it aside in fa...
Agenda has three other dimensions you can use in addition to category and project: stars, people and tags. In conjunction with date search ("tomorrow"), search across all projects, and saved searche...
It's actually a better deal than 42% off -- the full price of the Hyperfocus level is $112 so at $39 that's about 65% discount.

New Ulysses features coming

There is a beta program for Ulysses 15.

I took a pass on this because of the compatibility

There's an "updated" macOS / iOS version of the old OS X "Opus Domini" app -- now renamed Opus One -- that integrates calendar and note-taking into a single app. The update seems to be making most f...
An application to choose the time a task should be scheduled? Sounds interesting -- I cannot think of a task manager that suggests a time for scheduling the task + actually schedules it.
A couple o...
I like to archive PDFs of important threads here, but that when a thread spans multiple forum "pages" -- as the great threads usually do -- I print each "page" to PDF then stitch the PDFs together. ...
Pagico - one way, read only from the calendar side via iCloud (I think).
DropTask - two way, read and write from the calendar side via Google Calendar.

I'm going to flog DropTask again in this respect. (DT doesn't get the love it deserves LOL). DT is more of an integration than a single app. The app and website (same thing) integrate various ta...

Sorry, Andy, without iOS or Android, Hyper Plan is an island. I never committed to it for that reason.

Hyper Plan, of course. I wrote the task management app that I wanted to
Good question. I returned to OmniFocus mid-year 2018. Probably the 5th time I've gone thru the abandon-OmniFocus / readopt-OmniFocus cycle. I don't particularly like it -- Omni Group overburdens ...
Omnifocus 3.0 to come out Monday

If you have MindNode you can create a project outline, with notes, etc. Save that as a template for your project -- in DEVONthink or wherever. When you need to use it, open it in MindNode, select ...
Trilium Notes - new note taking app

No doubt this is a wonderful app -- one of the best. However after futzing around for 15 minutes trying to figure out how to unzip a .7z archive, and realizing I would probably have to buy software ...
Evernote's new CEO
1/4/2019
The proof is in the pudding. New CEO's are usually expected to dramatically announce new, better, customer friendly futures. We'll see. I don't see how they can fully address the disparity in fo...
Best outliner software for windows ?

Interesting looking app, "iroha note" -- visually. It's an Adobe Air app, which is somewhat of a dead end, and hasn't been updated, it seems, in a very long time. So there may be no there, there.

Mind organizer

Thank you -- that's helpful. Something along the lines of business development support.
Have you worked with an outliner app as a hub for the proposal response effort, track the tasks you need to a...

@pedrob -- welcome!
Can you share what the job is? And what documents are you required to produce? A little more context for the "workflow" might bring it into focus. It sounds like there's a re...

Could I suggest that developers who post here use their real names? I respect anonymity and the use of pseudonyms in this forum, but if someone is posting to promote their product, then perhaps we s...

I've noticed this kind of error fairly regularly with Safari in recent weeks. If I type the URL of site that Safari warns about into the location box, instead of clicking the link, then Safari will ...

Question About Kanban Boards
12/17/2018
I believe the examples at the LeanKit site are probably more suited to a team of individuals working on a software development project. Kanban originated in manufacturing as a just-in-time schedulin...
Correction: it's version 4 on both macOS and iOS.
