Goalscape @ BitsDuJour on Friday
10/28/2010
Hi.
Yesterday evening, I used Goalscape to map a business project and a private long-term goal.
I found the software easy to use - as long as one sticks to the mouse. What I was missing were keyboa...
Curio review up at Mac AppStorm
10/28/2010
Thanks, Steven.
I never gave Curio a try because I thought that it required a huge screen to fully exploit its potential - the 12" screen of my writing machine seemed to me too small. I just applied...

Hi.
@skylark: What exactly is it you do not like about the software? Instead of writing twice "as said, I could tell them some but haven?t got the time", you could easily have written 2 sentences abo...
Hi Steve.
I've also been checking daily for your review of Curio :-)

Sorry, I was too fast.
Both netbooks have excellent keyboards and long battery life. In both machines, it is easy to replace the original 1 GB of RAM by a 2 GB module.
With the Ideapads, you have t...
Hi Stephen.
I know the Lenovo Ideapad 10e and the Samsung NC-10. I'd recommend either of them. Off course, both have been replaced by newer models about which I cannot say anything substantial.

Hugh.
I just took a look at the https://digitalresearchtools.pbworks.com/Text+Analysis+Tools list. The list tools comparable to Textanz - e.g. TextSTAT and Wordstat. So, you're right: Textanz is miss...

Obviously, you are aware of InfoQube (former SQLNotes) as you wrote a review about it. May I ask why you didn't consider IQ in your quest?

Curiousity: InfoSelect 10

Steve.
You're probably right. After having purchased many upgrades since the 90s, I decided last year to leave IS behind me. In fact, I only opened IS 2007 (or 9.x) twice this year to check something...
A huge "thank you" from one of those who have been following your posts about Tinderbox :-)

So, what do you folks do?

Thanks for the kind offer, Laurence.
I am about to switch most of my PCs to Windows 7. So a software that is no longer under development is probably not the best solution :-)

Hi.
I work as a freelance creator (newspaper and online articles, non-fiction books, translations, concepts), coach and trainer.
In my spare time I write short stories and a novel.

Software Feature Matrix

Nice idea, Mauro.
As the programs discussed here fall into different categories, I think it would be best to create a matrix for each of these categories (after all it does not make much sense to com...
Hi Edwin.
I prefer the "text-based" look. The "shape-based" style looks nicer but adds more noise to the screen.
