Clibu, open beta 12/1/2014
Thanks, Neville. To be sure I understand: Do I need internet access when using Clibu through Firefox or Chrome on my Mac? That would not be a solution for me. I want my data locally, from time to tim...
Evernote and "The Wall Street Journal" 12/1/2014
Thanks Daly. But that was not the problem (not this time, I had also stumbled over that problem 2 years ago). This time I had already downloaded the content of the notes to my iPad. The notes were th...
Evernote and "The Wall Street Journal" 11/30/2014
Paul. That's exactly why I have been using Evernote. And exactly why I think about dropping Evernote: Last week, I went to a seminar in the mountains - no internet there. So I took along my iPad with...

Hi Neville. Will there also be a Mac desktop app? Thanks, Franz (who'd love to kiss EN goodbye but needs a reasonable web clipping/note storing application that allows sharing data on Windows PCs a...

OT: Dropbox and Skydrive encryption 9/12/2014
Thanks, Prion. Ownclowd is still on my list "give it a try when you have more time". For now, I will stick with Dropbox as it is supported by all OSses and apps I use.
OT: Dropbox and Skydrive encryption 9/11/2014
So: I am using Boxcryptor to encrypt a few folders in my Dropbox. Everything works smoothly so far (though I cannot say how save it really is, though AES has a good reputation). I however recommend to...
OT - bitsdujour - paragon migrate os to ssd 4.0 for $9.95 9/11/2014
I used the Paragon software (albeit version 3.x) to move the Windows systems on 2 notebooks to (smaller) SSDs. Everything went smoothly and as expected. I'd say that $10 is money well spent (I have no...
