SheetPlanner 2.0 Beta 1
7/22/2020
Yes, and I got your email.
I got an external USB SSD drive this morning, which I'll use for a bootable clone of my Mac. That's what I'll boot and install the beta on.
Yeah, I know. I'm overly cautio...

Interesting, the argument for written notes.
Next, he'll organize his notes into a Zettlekasten, taking what steps he can to provide a "search bar" and metadata.
But that's probably the best attitud...

Great news - can't wait to see your latest offering.
Curio 14.2 is out

Curio 14.2 has been released, and I hate to sound like a shill but I really like it. Your mileage may vary, of course.
A nice improvement in this release is you can add subtitles to journal entries, ...

Mellel 5 is out

Ulysses is great. I used it for a while, and its IOS app is one of the best. It's one of the few IOS companion apps that isn't feature-limited.
Markdown is cool.

Yes, that's true, I should have mentioned that. There is a nice IOS version, too. With a Bluetooth keyboard, Mellel is a good mobile word p...

Well, take me with a grain of salt when I get giddy. I thought I saw a mention of timelines in the release notes, but I think I hallucinated.

Mellel appears to have gotten a lot stronger today, not that it was a weakling to begin with. Real docx export appears to be supported along with epub. Mellel isn't an island any more.

Buying macOS Software now?

Certain Mac apps are very addictive. Devonthink, Curio, Nisus Writer, and a few others see constant use here.
On the other hand, Linux is the only safe environment I see. It's tempting to move back, ...
Versatil Markdown looks really nice - thanks for the link.

That's what I use it for.
The performance issues mentioned in this thread must have gotten fixed before I star...

For me, Tinderbox was too much like an IDE for information - but part of that impression is probably my fault for not understanding the Tinderbox way of doing things.
Regarding performance, the Curio...

As always, different strokes for different folks.
I find Curio about as fast as One Note, if I'm using it similar to how I would use One Note. For instance, for a One Note-like experience, don't add ...

Interesting apps mentioned in this thread. Curio is still doing well for me, but I could do what I needed with Numbers.

Sounds like a great showcase for categorization. I'm not a botanist, but would appreciate examples of how this would be organized.
It seems to me that a strict hierarchy would be enough to pigeonhole...

How sheltered of me. I didn't know what those things were at first.
When I was raising my kids I told them many times that sobriety ain't half bad when you consider the alternatives.

Hmmm - not sure what happened to my last post. Hopefully this isn't a duplicate.
I decided to buy Sheetplanner.

I remain intrigued by Sheetplanner. It's quick and handy for entering tasks.

I could live without OmniOutliner. Curio has been a real delight to use in recent weeks, but outlining can be done a lot of different ways. The columns in OO are nice, but I end up not using them much...
