Pagico 8
1/31/2018
Not sure why, but v8 seems more approachable than earlier versions. Sort of invites me to pour everything into it, and completed tasks can be archived and hidden from view. I disliked Kanbanflow becau...
Pagico 8
1/31/2018
I updated to Pagico 8 and am going to give it a try for several weeks. I keep defaulting back to ToDoist, but this time I'm going to go it alone with just Pagico.
Pagico 8
1/30/2018
I think it changed its name at one point after it had changed hands. I liked all PIMs better in the MS DOS world, including the first version of InfoSelect. There was another (perhaps Windows) that wa...
Pagico 8
1/30/2018
Looking back through my password manager, I see that I tried Pagico versions 5, 6, and 7. Inasmuch as I have never used it after a week or so in each version, I doubt that I will warm up to version 8,...
Agenda
1/26/2018
That's what I was thinking as well. I don't mind paying annually for a Tinderbox subscription. What I don't like is having to pay $x each month even when I've moved on to another app. I have to proact...
Agenda
1/26/2018
I just noticed a new app on the Mac App Store called "Agenda" (remember Lotus Agenda?). I'm always willing to consider a new app of this type, but the "in app purchases" smell like a subscription to m...

Gingko
1/24/2018
Is there an actual Gingko app for the Mac? So far, I've using the Internet only to interact with Gingko. I cannot find anything on the app store or on the Gingkoapp site that looks like a downloadable...
Gingko
1/20/2018
I fiddled around with the free Gingko several years ago, but it didn't seem to fill a need for me. With the apparent demise of Tree and the recently resurrected thread here, I decided to give it anoth...

Winterfest sale - HoudahSpot
12/30/2017
I'd like to put in a good word for HoudahSpot. This is similar in function to "Find Any File", but is blazingly fast.
VoodooPad showing signs of life
12/30/2017
I am hoping to find some use for VooDooPad. For academic work, it is just too simple, but for a hobby (voiceover work), it might be a good way to track changes I'm doing in sound engineering.
VoodooPad showing signs of life
12/29/2017
The App Store just updated my copy of VooDooPad. It has been so long since I used it, I done know what has been added. It is still version 5.
Winterfest sale - Panorama X
12/25/2017
The 60-month choice at $5 a month makes it affordable for me, but I am still smarting from the Novamind situation in which my lifetime subscription was more like a "going steady" subscription.

I think Tree bit the dust. And I'm still waiting for Neo to somehow come up with a readable manual.
Aquaminds NoteTaker 4?
12/9/2017
Thanks much! I've bookmarked the URL. This gives me reason to be optimistic.

Aquaminds NoteTaker 4?
12/9/2017
I have routinely checked the Aquaminds web page for any new information on a release of Notetaker/Noteshare. It doesn't appear different than in early August (the progress bar is still at about 75%).
MindNode mind mapper reaches version 5
12/6/2017
I went back into my Apple account and sort of re-iterated my PayPal information and saved it. Now the app store approved the sale. Very strange.

MindNode mind mapper reaches version 5
12/6/2017
Am I still the only one who gets an error message from the App Store when I try to buy Mind Node 5? It keeps telling me "Before you can make purchases, PayPal must verify your account", followed by a ...
MindNode mind mapper reaches version 5
12/3/2017
Yikes, it went from Mind Node 2 all the way to Mind Node 5? I do have Mind Node 2, and tried to buy 5 on the Mac App store, but it is telling me that I have to fetch a code that is being sent to a ce...
is Scapple the best for "thinking on paper"
11/25/2017
This may be common knowledge already, but if you have Scapple 1.2, the newer 1.3 version is not yet on the App Store. Apple is still examining it to make sure it conforms to their requirements. Howeve...
The Tinderbox Way 3rd Edition released
10/28/2017
The times that I have called Eastgate, I’m pretty sure Mark Bernstein answered the phone. Reminds me of Neil Larson, developer of MaxThink.
Workload tracking?
10/22/2017
I agree that GTD is the way to handle a workload without anything falling between the cracks. When I was a college administrator, I used GTD to get time sensitive things completed. It won't do anythin...
NotePlan
10/1/2017
Correct, I was looking at Stephen's Tinderbox tutorials on Vimeo. I just coughed up another $98 for another year of Tinderbox updates, and I still haven't been able to work it into my workflow. This i...

So far, I like the interface, though a few times it wouldn't let me add tasks (kept restoring the original intro screen). Not sure why.
