Demise of NoteMap

Could part of the problem be that it was marketed pretty much exclusively to lawyers and law students? I seem to recall taking a look at it and in order to download a trial version, you had to fill a ...
And then today, there was a major plot twist in the Read It Later app space: https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2017/02/27/mozilla-acquires-pocket/
I'll take Mozilla over Pintrest any day.
So, I signed up for a free trial of Wallabag.it to put it through its paces with a serious intent to sign up.
The first thing I want to mention is the price. Ten dollars is significantly less than r...

Has it been updated at all? When it first launched, it looked like all they did was re-brand Hackpad without any real changes. I felt a little underwhelmed.
Also, the always the cynic, I can't help ...
Basically what Dr. Andus said.
There's some really good stuff like PiggyDB or even MediaWiki (if it's good enough for Wikipedia, it's good enough for you).
But by their nature of being web apps (es...
Dynalist released a public beta of their desktop app for Windows today: https://dynalist.io/download

I more find it hard to believe that IBM doesn't already have something like this?
I was at a tech conference in 2007 where someone demoed his side project, which was similar. His demo was feeding it...

10 overseas offices? For a notetaking app? And what have they done? Has Evernote really changed all that much since 2008, a time when a cloud-synced notetaking app was a really big deal?

So it's Org-Mode with a pretty calendar and only works on MacOS and iOS.

I'm not sure how much I'd read into this. It's entirely possible that Google just gave them a deep discount on using their infrastructure in exchange for making a lot of noise about the move and servi...

But I do wish the "File" function worked more like Org-Mode with Helm installed, in that you get a menu of targets to file to rather than having to type it in manually. A proper "Mark and Gather" func...

Wow, this shows a lot of promise. It does, however, still need a lot of work. The apparent lack of hoisting makes this much less usable for me.
But it does have a function for "Filing" an item, some...
