I wonder if something like this https://github.com/jglev/emacs-org-mode-for-the-laity would be useful for people looking for civilized defaults.

I guess "reinventing" be rolling back to Evernote 2 (while keeping the online storage component) is out of the question.

Off Topic: Which keyboard to buy?

If you're an Apple user, check out the Matias Tactile Pro (http://matias.ca/tactilepro4/) It's built to the same specs as Apple keyboards from the 80's.
Failing that, I'd go with Listerene's suggest...

In fairness, you can move the slider down to $15 if that's all you feel it's worth.

No, the last update (September 2017) still felt like it needed a lot of work to me.

I like this and see a lot of potential.
The 10,000 word design document reminds me of MaxThink, where again, the manual was more about the philosophy of "how to think" rather than how to actually us...

Hoping WriteMonkey 3 gets into a usable state.

I've written a pretty lousy novella for a competition and did not win. That said, the experience did give me a good crash course in Scrivener.

Dynalist new function: capture to inbox

This is a pretty key feature in most task management apps and one of the reasons I never got into WorkFlowy. Now, if they can add a global shortcut to the desktop app, they'll really have something.
