TheBrain v10 Alpha is available

Microsoft Office 365 Home costs $100 per year. For that fee, up to six people (as of October 2) can install Microsoft Office, and each person gets 1TB of storage space (6TB total). If you have six peo...

How silly and shrill. Microsoft doesn't "hold your documents and files as a hostage against future payments." If you stop paying for the software, or for the storage space, then they'll quite properly...
ResophNotes still has a pulse
8/27/2018
This update, the first in over three years, was just a single bug fix:
- Update OpenSSL library for connection issues
Of course, if an app works well, as ResophNotes does, it's okay to be "moribund"...

Yes, I'm skeptical - as should anyone be skeptical, given such limited information and a screenshot nearly identical to that of an old software program. I imagine many on this forum have been burned i...

You didn't say whether it's possible to export data to common formats such as plain text, PDF, and/or Word? Without at least some export options, the software is dead on arrival.

If you developed it from scratch, why are you using original Ecco screenshots (as claimed by someone else here)? Or did you clone the Ecco interface as part of your development effort?
I really can'...

So, "years of effort" to clone someone else's primitive software, including "look and feel". And you joined Twitter in August 2018. And Polywick Studio, to judge from the web site, makes web games, wi...
I hope the developer's summary of his software isn't true:
"Simply put: Zettlr is the get-together of the best features of existing solutions while enhancing the bad!"
Apparently the *free* version of Checkvist does not, which is why the original poster is asking this question.|
The free version of Dynalist doesn't offer automatic backups either.

RightNote 4.6

Unless you have an ancient machine - which is not the fault of the developer - that sort of RAM usage is a drop in the bucket of available memory. I haven't used RightNote in a while, but when I did u...

People are going to do their *serious* work, which often involves multiple programs, multiple screens, and even multiple monitors, with lots of screen space, on mobile phones? I don't see that happeni...

Some good points here, though I'd substitute "Windows" for each instance of "mobile" or "iOS". Last I looked, the iOS market was but a speck of the Windows market.

It sounds like Peter is making some good choices - one of which is *not* to burden himself with parallel development of an iOS app while he's perfecting the desktop (Mac) version of the software. I'd ...

A suggested revision to the sales pitch, as the site doesn't say whether the software is for Mac (which I know it is) or Windows:

This is absolutely correct, and should serve as a cautionary note for developers everywhere - including a few on this forum.
