Before you do anything else, make the site responsive. That's essential in today's world.
This is what I see first when the page loads: "Visual Planning and Scheduling Software for Windows & Mac". De...
I get those automated emails occasionally from well-meaning but over-zealous developers. You ought to reply and tell the developer exactly what you just told us. Good test to see how he takes criticis...
There's that, and there's also the distinction between stating an opinion and stating a fact. If opinions were actionable, film reviewers, software reviewers, et. al., would be in hot water all the ti...
Oh, my. Well, I'm scared off. I didn't know you guys were big leaguers.

This guy's back again...
Since this is a forum where people talk about outliner software, I figure I'd ask whether anyone had downloaded and tested *this* outliner software, and if so, their opinion ...
Has anyone actually downloaded and tested the software?

When did an abundance of caution become a subject of debate? Nowadays, more than ever, with frameworks and such giving dabblers and neophytes the tools for rapid software development, it's doubly wise...
He ought to stick to those two things. You seem to be a much better "face" for the company.

But...I don't see his connection to Polywick. My brain hurts!
What happened to the other guy?

When are you going to reply to the questions that people have asked about your "software"? Instead of providing links that prove absolutely nothing about whether there actually *is* software, you coul...

This is what you get when you post techy babble and then don't answer questions from people genuinely interested in your software - but you sure are quick to reply to skeptics.
Your legal threats are...

Maybe Polywick will surprise everyone, but I doubt anything will come of his "project", if it even exists in a form other than posts made here and on medium.com.
Best outliner software for windows ?

If you already use Scrivener, then you ought to keep using it, maybe supplemented by OneNote and Workflowy/Dynalist for the things it doesn't do well, or at all. The challenge isn't how many different...

I don't think anyone can answer your question of "what is best" without you first explaining what you'd like to do with the software, and what project(s) you hope to facilitate by using it.
Any way to PM users here?

Here's how it was originally described:
"If there’s any interest, I could set-up a Signal Group ( https://signal.org/ ) ... The group could invite whoever wants to be included."
I read "group"...
Any way to PM users here?

Yes, exactly. I have no problem with a PM feature *here*, but I wouldn't want to see an entirely new and separate forum created in order to implement it.

I'm against a separate forum that would act as a drain on discussions here. A PM feature is not important to me, and probably not to most others. It sounds shiny now, but how much use would it really ...

We can have all the compassion in the world for Eduardo as a person - and I'm sure we do - but still criticize his business practices.

If he can't handle it, he could always open source it. That's the ideal exit strategy for developers who can no longer maintain their software. Of course it almost never happens.
The point I made is ...

Given the lack of a response by the developer to my question about whether his "Visual Outliner" has word wrap and a traditional outline structure, I assume it has neither. The software can outline to...
Thanks again for the generous offer. It has motivated me to knuckle down and try to get over the learning curve that defeated me last time.

That's wonderful that you feel the same way as Dr. Andus, and I wish Eduardo the best, but the proof is in the follow-through. "Labor of love" or not, his paying customers have complained on the forum...

After his long silence, he has a ways to go (and a lot of code to write) before he earns back the trust of his customers, potential or otherwise.
Sounds like a terrible promotion, unless you're already a big-time user of Standard Note. I'd gladly blow $15 on an annual subscription for software that seems promising, but a five-year deal sounds l...
