Off Topic: Which keyboard to buy?
4/22/2018
Amongst my Macs and iPads I use three keyboards - Apple's wired extended keyboard with numeric keypad, Apple's standard wireless keyboard, and a Das Keyboard mechanical keyboard. Pretty happy with all...
The future of OneNote

Evernote operates on an "everything in a notebook" model, while Google utilizes Drive and Keep and Docs to provide a more traditional files/folders framework. Google changed its priorities from pushin...

Drafts 5 for iOS goes subscription
4/21/2018
I’m all for subscription pricing, for a number of reasons. For devs, there's no longer any need to hold off on update features on the old sales model (where they’re stockpiling new feature...
Eh. I entered 'Are there alien intelligences secretly watching us?' wanting to see how many woo-woo citations I'd get. Of the top 5 results one was off-topic completely, three were science-oriented hi...

The future of OneNote

I tried using OneNote when I was furniture shopping - importing room/wall dimensions, pics, screenshots.
God, was it dog slow!
It synced to iOS and the mobile app was acceptable but nothing more.

iThoughts gets an outline view
4/18/2018
Mindnode's text outline option came out for the Mac in 2015 with v.2, and the iOS 'list view' (with checkboxes) arrived with v.5 late last year, I think (could be wrong).
Like iThoughts, Mindnode/iOS...
The free version of Todoist does two-way sync with Google Calendar too. (That's the only reason I used the app [for a while].)

Drafts 5 for iOS goes subscription

I 'preordered' - a slightly strange thing, since it's a free download, so that just means it will auto-download to my iPhone on tomorrow. (A week or so ago the dev asked on Twitter whether he should s...

Tree was unique and badly missed. The developer, Kazuhiro Kawana, dropped off the map.

TaskPaper iOS apps

Wow, that's pretty cool. Thanks. I always bypassed Editorial on iOS - for years I was using Notey, until it became extremely clear that the dev had abandoned it, then I tried a few apps like Notes and...

Not that great a deal. You can buy it for just $6 more than StackSocial from the manufacturer itself, through its Indiegogo page (where it was $74 for early buyers):

best outliner you use? (2018)

Outlinely had potential, but as noted it hasn't been updated in quite a while, its developer has remained anonymous, and its blog is defunct. Not good signs.
Checkvist is one alternative I'm not sure...
