Thanks Andy. Jon
Hyper Plan now portable 4/27/2016
Thanks for the information Andy. Is this version, 2.1.0 a beta? The reason I ask is because 2.0.2 still shows on your main download page. Also, 2.0.2 cam as a zip file which I assumed was portable too...

Hyper Plan v2 is out 3/11/2016
Congratulations on v2 Andy. I just purchased the upgrade and it looks good. Useful features have been added too, but it will take me some time to explore these. Swamped with work right now. Jon
InfoQube 2/10/2016
Just alerting everyone that InfoQube is now officially in beta (0.9.70). I know, I know, it has been in preview forever, but it is under constant development by an extremely responsive developer. If y...
Card-based productivity software 2/3/2016
You guy are aware that ToDoList 7.1 is in development and is including a Kanban board? The reason that I mention this is because it supports rich text notes rather nicely, in my opinion. Jon

RightNote Printing Question 1/22/2016
I imagine that your list of considered software includes ToDoList (very feature rich and intricately customizable) or EssentialPIM? ToDoList: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/5371/ToDoList-An-effe...
RightNote Printing Question 1/21/2016
Ken, I've been trying to follow this conversation with limited success. Please forgive me if this suggestion does not fit your schema. Have you tried CintaNotes? Jon

Any Windows offline note taker apps that allows to import MS Office (msg, docx, xlsx) and pdf files and search within them? 10/21/2015
Ultra Recall is particularly adept at this. I rely on its ability to search and display all the time. TheBrain would be another good choice, but my experience with its ability to search within attachm...

Searching attachments in TheBrain 10/8/2015
I know. The confounding thing is that these issues come up on the help forum. Following the threads, they appear to end without resolution. I chatted with a representative who tried to be helpful but ...
Searching attachments in TheBrain 10/8/2015
Thanks for the help Dr. Andus. I need to see the relationships and that is where TheBrain's visuals come into play. It would negate major benefits I should have if search worked in TheBrain. I can do ...
Searching attachments in TheBrain 10/8/2015
TheBrain (and other mind/concept map variants) have their use. Too many of my colleagues use the tools they like (or the tool du jour) for an unsuitable task. I would have used Ultra Recall for this p...
Searching attachments in TheBrain 10/8/2015
I have been using version 7 Pro under Windows 7 Professional for some time and never had a need to search within attachments or file links. Both are supposedly possible for several versions preceding ...

Thanks Ken. Glad I was reading you correctly. Jon
RightNote Question 9/3/2015
Thank you for elaborating on NoteCase's capabilities. I was aware of some of what you wrote and the possibilities I was ignorant of are intriguing. With variations on how and where the tweaking occurs...
RightNote Question 9/2/2015
Also consider Ultra Recall for this purpose. Its search capabilities are excellent. Neither UR or NoteCase have the kind of web export incorporated into RightNote. Jon
RightNote Question 9/1/2015
Ken, NoteCase Pro will do what you want. Jon

Programs that search attachments? 8/24/2015
I was going to mention TheBrain, but Steve beat me to it. Ultra Recall has even broader search capabilities than RightNote. Jon

Outliner that supports SQL queries? 8/18/2015
Pierre, to clarify: The reason I ask is I think Andrew was asking about attachments. UR and NoteCase can do this and both are SQL based. Jon
