Evernote in trouble?

I have not tested this because I do not use EN. RightNote can integrate with EN with the added benefit of organizing the EN information in a tree.

The history of Ecco replacements has been grim. From promises to release the original code, various independent developers having something "in the works," re-branding of the original product, add-ons...

I am pretty sure development on Ecco Pro ceased in 1997. It will be interesting to see what was improved and the program's overall capabilities. InfoQube has long since supplanted my Ecco databases an...
Why no love for MyBase? My early review:

If it helps, I just tested version 7 with my test database of 16885 notes that was originally made with version 6. The database is marginally faster, BUT I am using a newer computer than my original t...
Zoot

Being on Widows, Tinderbox is not an option. You are right though - Zoot is as close as you will get. I also agree that it has become far too sprawling, although for some this might be an advantage. I...

The topic on myBase (http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/8305/0/why-no-love-for-mybase-my-early-review) got me thinking about another application. Zoot is very powerful and is actively develo...

Ha, ha, ha! Very true (that IQ can do all these thing AND that Pierre will say this).

Also the interface is distinctly unusual. The slowdown Paul refers to is still present, at least in my testing. And the hierarchical tags (if my memory is correct) are not what one would expect. For e...
Ultra Recall search flaws?

Karel:
If you are still considering UR, by now I am sure you are confused. Based on what you stated and asked I would encourage you to go with UR. It is a good, solid and comprehensive solution that...

Yes, Pierre is right. But since you asked about UR's search, I thought I would tell you of my experience.

Not to throw another variable at you, but have you tried CintaNotes? You can edit multiple notes in their own windows. Notes are not organized by trees but through a combination of tags and tabs. Not ...

My usage is complex. I have found no issues with search. Constructing a complicated search requires some thought and awareness of how and in what order the commands will be executed. Others have comme...
Dr. Andus is the expert on CT and could probably assist with your problem and advice on application for your purpose. Others on this forum also promote CT's virtues and the program has intrigued me. B...

You know, this is my fault. I had a sense about Sense. We always talk about the value of being able to export our work into common formats. I generally follow that advice, but not this time.

It opens as read only. Few of the menu options are available. I cannot save (of course) nor can I export. I thought I would be able to select and copy the text in the editor, but no.

That is very kind of you Pierre. Thank you.
I have to take a closer look at the read only file. It should contain some research which I am not allowed to share. If so, then the answer is unfortunatel...
