ticking off PIM boxes

Hi,
I see a few options to try depending on what features you prioritise:
- Freeplane: mindmap with an outline view and light task management, offline
- Dynalist: online outliner with mindmap view, ...
Easy Data Transform

Thank you for the heads up about Bits Du Jour. I had been eyeing EDT for a while, and this was the right price to pull the trigger. My use cases aren't so complicated, but it's a great tool to have.

Interesting MyInfo update (7.2)
7/27/2021
Thanks for the heads-up. I haven't used MyInfo before, so I downloaded the trial and gave it a spin. My impressions:
- I like the clean interface. It's inviting to work in
- Notebooks and sections ar...
Obsidian Mobile Now Available For All

I installed it for a quick look and was impressed by its ability to replicate all the settings and the theme from the desktop version. I haven't used Obsidian much so far but the mobile app could be t...

Mapping System with Attributes

Perhaps Freeplane can help. It's free, so no barrier to try it out. You can add attributes to nodes, and put hyperlinks inside attributes to link nodes together. You can also clone nodes, so an edit i...
tagging with drag and drop
5/11/2021
Hi robertom, welcome!
That's an interesting question that you ask. I know of a few applications that can tag via drag and drop, but they don't use markdown as their primary format: Zotero, ConnectedT...

I'm looking forward to using it once it comes out of beta. I use Zotero daily and wouldn't want to destabilise my current system. Any idea of a release date?

You can attach PDFs and other files in UpNote but it doesn't search inside them as far as I can tell. They're not embedded or displayed, just attached.

You've convinced me to give it a go. I really like the Android app. Next step is to import my notes from Evernote.

MiMind can open Freeplane mindmaps, which is quite useful. However, it cannot save in that format.
