Thanks for this, jaslar. I like the idea of blurring your writing as you write, to kill the inner critic. But other applications also do something similar.

I have used the four applications NickG discusses above (plus several others over the years - including MLO way back in my Windows days).
My feelings about the four more or less chime with NickG's ex...

Personally, since the days of Lotus 1-2-3 I've thought spreadsheets are wonderful tools and I've always been a fan of the use of them...
