OutWiker 1.7

I like the development of Outwiker. I'm currently testing it in parallel with Keepnote, which is also cross platform (I work in Windows and GNU/Linux) and also keeps its files in a directory tree. Out...
Scapple

Ioa, many thanks for your posting and clarification of the concept behind Scapple. Are you planning to port it to Windows as well?

Do you also find VUE faster and more responsive?
I use CMap Tools only for diagrams that are to be presented. There's a simple workaround for the question marks in arrows (just drag them under the to...

It is very reminiscent of CMap Tools. It can nevertheless stand out if it is fast, light and intuitive. CMap is just the opposite.

From the feature list and other info available, as well as the description below, it is not clear to me whether one can save a 'session', i.e. a set of text files to open all together, either upon sta...

Black Hole Organizer?

I understand what Stephen Z. means by saying that the program hasn't advanced much in 10 years: there is no way to import or export items (aside copy/paste), no tags, categories are exclusive (i.e. no...

Black Hole Organizer?

I like the 3-pane structure of the program, I wish more information managers adopted this approach. When the number of information items stored grow considerably, the tree in a 2-pane outliner can bec...

Note taker accepting input via email

Thanks for this; I had no idea!
In the meantime I found that Simplenote also accepts notes via email. But these are text only, and I was looking for a rich text solution like Evernote.
Note taker accepting input via email

Do you know of any simple and convenient notetaking app (ideally with local client) which can accept input, among others, via a special email address?
The obvious answer here is Evernote; the problem...
Just a note to add that Task Unifier, the cross-platform taks management application I mentioned earlier, in its new version support sub-contexts, sub-folders and sub-goals. The sub folders bit is par...

Never heard of it before, but I find it interesting that, once again, a rather original idea is coming from Japan. The "split identity" outliner is one thing, the combination with the browser and HTML...
