Following this discussion, last week I installed Notebooks on my windows 10 machine. Tried to run it, but it was dead as a dodo. I wrote to support, and I'm still waiting for their response.

SmartDown looks promising. It's light and aesthetically pleasing. The developer is very dedicated and responsive. I reported him some problems with diacritics and it was fixed within two days.
It looks nice and fast, but Resophnotes is still better (e.g. it offers Markdown).

1. ConnectedText - for keeping and managing notes and pieces of information
