GTD reflections 4/4/2008
just a short note, UR Beta has implemented nested searches, negation, and search on item relationships (parent, ancestor, child, and descendant), which now allows one to create very complex GTD struct...

short time memory and outliner software 3/26/2008
I agree with Steve, the most important thing is to understand first, before you try to learn sth. The problem is when there isn't much to "understand", and one has to purely memorize things, sets, .....

TextAloud at Bits du Jour 1/23/2008
while the idea is nice, I think the outcome depends on your memory. Mine is crap ... really really bad ... that's probably why I "thrive" when I use proper PIM. If I don't have a pen/pencil with me (...

General Knowledge Base vs Ask Sam vs Idea 1/22/2008
I don't use pdf indexing feature in UR, but I'm sure Kinook would have a look at the problem. Might be that I missed the topic of the their forum, but wasn't aware of the pdf indexing problem. Would y...

XMind on Bits du Jour next week 1/22/2008
I'm very sad when looking at all these mind managers. They are all some sort of simple tree outliners, with the root item placed in the middle (and the children around it), or on the left, or on the...

Re Archivarius: cannot really compare with X1 (cause I only tried it, didn't like it, and so quickly uninstalled). I can only say so much that Archivarius was on my list of top 5 most apps used in 2...
3D TopicScape 1/15/2008
Is this a joke? Is this supposed to be 3D? It is just raised 2D, the info is still laid out on the plane. It's a plain tree which has in fact no chance to display connection between two items from dif...

Remote notes into your PIM? 12/2/2007

I can recommend ACDSee 10 Photo Manager, http://www.acdsee.com/ which I use from version 0.0 (then called AcdSee32, it was fastest image viewer, there were not many digital photos back then :) )
