Organizing lots of thought snippets
1/26/2015
Hi all!
What's your best system to organize lots of snippets of thoughts?
I've been using Workflowy exclusively for a while now.
The good news is that I've stuck with Workflowy, and it's a great re...

I'm in a constant state of CRIMP...
But I find myself returning to 2 tools when I really need to get stuff done.
1) OPML Outliner. Or any simple, 1 pane outliner.

Out of curiosity, are you in academia by chance?
Reinstalling Brainstorm
10/3/2012
I just checked, and I have the same version.
It registers fine. I'm on Windows 7.
Have you tried emailing brainstormsw.com?
I have CT and UR.
CT's features are impressive. Everything looks great on paper...
But I just can't seem to get into it.
Have tried many times.
The edit mode slows me down. I dread writing in it.

Another one to CRIMP on: http://www.knowsynotes.com/Home.html
Found this cruising the Bonsai forum...
Figured out a good solution.
Alex: Tried EmEditor's outline mode and found it too rudimentary. Thanks for the suggestion.
This is what I'm going with:
First, have this free program installed:

Thanks, I'll check out EmEditor now.
Other candidates for this:

- I can copy/paste outlines in and out of the OPML file

Thanks Alex + Steve.
I tried Noteliner and liked it.
What I'd really love is this:
- Editing notes as a tree outline, and saving each note in a separate file (like plain text notes in ResophNotes)
...
Adding to the thought:
Are there any tools similar to ResophNotes, but the plain text note area is a single pane outliner?
I love the ability to tag and create/search topics on the fly...
It'd be p...
I've been a long time fan of Brainstorm...
Started to create so much info that it became cumbersome to navigate through the file.
Moved over to ConnectedText.
Love it intellectually.

Retrospective outlining

I can't wait to try this!
I bought CT but can't seem to get into it regularly.
The markup and "edit mode" slows me down quite a bit.
I end up fussing with editing more than just letting my ideas flow...

CRIMPing makes it big time

Nice!
We now need a national CRIMP Day too... :)
Free today it looks like.

It is fun, isn't it? :)
I've always wondered how big the PIM/Outliner type of market is...
Must not be big enough, since apps keep dying and going away.
