I’ve been using InfoSelect (IS) since v3.  I can live without it, but just.  Sadly, it has not kept up with the times.  The interjection of Jim Lewis into the IS Yahoo Group has not been positive, imho.  For example, he told a poster who wrote about his experience with the beta of v10 to remove the post.  The offending post was, of course, not laudatory about the new version.

The transporter is probably the feature that causes the most anguish among users.  But Jim’s post about it was essentially a “blame the user” rationalization.

I’ve hedged my bet with a subscription to Evernote.  When I saw a wine bottle label that I digitized become searchable text I became a believer.  There’s going to have to be a lot of surprises in v10 of IS to keep me from throwing it over the side.
