I really like the academic focus, and the pandoc integration.
Maybe also take Quarto (https://quarto.org) into consideration?
(Apparently, it keeps saying that Zotero is not running).
Tana?

I wonder if there are any criteria for early access. I signed up when I first saw this topic last year and filled out the form, but I never heard back with a way to join the beta.
Heptabase

I subscribed. Checked it out for around half an hour and decided to cancel and ask for the refund. No reply from the developer whatsoever.

From the pricing page, I had the impression that one could try the premium features. No matter why I try, I can only access the free version. Is this possible, or does one have to subscribe to see the...
I like what I see so far. Hopefully, it will keep improving and innovating.
Obsidian gets folding
5/26/2020
Hi @Lucas, in VoodooPad, you may remember, one has to input each alias separately. What I like about this feature in DEVONthink is being able to input them all at once using a comma separated string. ...

By automatic wiki linking I mean the mode in which every name corresponding to another file appears as a link, regardless of double brackets. I don't see this popping up anywhere else at all. Which is...

In software like this one would expect nested tags, but that is not yet in the roadmap.
Theoretically, it would be pretty easy to incorporate obsidian into the workflow since all my note are stored a...
Voodoopad 6 preview

In my view, version 5 had a good set of features. I don’t know any other application apart from VoodooPad and DEVONthink 3 that has auto-linking (I love this) and the possibility of en...

A new nvAlt replacement with MMD support is on the horizon.
Looks promising.

Migrate from Dynalist to Outlinely
2/27/2019
Dynalist is a decent app, but I didn't go far using it. About Outlinely: I can't believe how little attention this app has gotten. To me feels like a perfect blend of OmniOutliner, Ulysses and Bear. O...
