Apropos of current discussion in another thread on the use of file tagging software, there's a program called Benubird Pro on Bits du Jour today.
I know nothing of the program, but perhaps someone el...

Big Changes At Gem-X?
11/24/2008
It appears that Gem-X has just made some substantial changes in their business model. They have redone their website (about time- it was a travesty) and reinstituted the user forum that they dropped a...
Well, looking back, I guess I can say managed to avoid too much CRIMPing this year, though I did make several changes in my tool set.
The biggest change came in email management. Last year I finally ...

SQLNotes -- a Plea Please

I agree with Daly on all counts.
I am excited by the potential of SQLNotes, and I very much appreciate Pierre's communication and dedication to seeking input from the user community.
However, althou...

Indeed. Strange that a product marketed to scholars writing doctoral dissert...
The Waseo UI makes me want to bleach my eyeballs.
I used AskSam 3.0 for something like this about 10 years ago.
I had just taken over a job, and a computer, from a very prolific, and also very disorganized, predecessor.
His hard drive had hundreds ...

Delaware seems to be the Liberia of American states.
Up here on the Great Lakes, it's common to see giant ore freighters with a home port of "Wilmington, Delaware" emblazoned on their sterns. Trouble...
Personal Knowledge Base Article

Fascinating- a scholarly article on the topics we kick around here every day.
I doubt that the authors have ever heard the term"CRIMP," but I'll bet they'd understand the concept immediately.
Well w...

Another NoteMap problem?

I've encountered that, too: the scrolling behavior can be quite annoying. You go to scroll one line, so you can see the beginning of the next note while most of the current note is still on the screen...

Single-pan Outliner for Writers
12/9/2007
I use NoteMap for most of my composition, then cut and paste the text to Word for final polishing. NoteMap's outliner features are pretty powerful; certainly enough for my needs. Formatting transfers ...
That's VERY interesting, Chris.
Just took a look at OmniFocus and find that intriguing, too.
Plus, there's Scrivener, and DevonThink, and Tinderbox...

Yes, there's nothing like ECCO, is there?
Sometimes I dream of an alternate universe where Arabesque hung on to ECCO and continued to develop it. I'm sure today it would suit all my needs and then so...
