From those that I at least tried, or used, I'd go with Ultrarecall, if my needs included the search capability.
With exception of PDF, in the past I have found that UR had problems with indexing PDF, ...
AM Notebook is not bad, but I remember it didn't impress me either.

Bonsai

I only have an experience with Bonsai as a tasklist outliner.
Strengths are:
- open format - XML
- easily extensible exporting capabilities if XML is tough for you

Evernote for free as Giveawayoftheday
11/16/2007
I understand how GAOTD works, and I'm grateful for GAOTD as I could find a use for some titles from GAOTD.
All I wanted to express is my opinion that not only their "non-commercial usage" restriction...

MyInfo 4 - nonexistent trial version?

Most places processing software sales don't accept free email addresses, due to fraud.
I have to agree on unreasonable rates of exchange on Share-It. Luckily, I can switch back to USD and pay in USD,...

Supermemo

I used it for a number of years, though on a small scale. Great concept.
The implementation is not necessarily breathtaking, as it's a bit overcomplicated and has confusing GUI.
It takes some dedicati...

Well, just for the record, Wikidpad also runs on Win and Mac. Though I'm sure you probably already know about this one.

Ideamason's interface (GUI), is in Cons on my list.
While the longer one works with it, the less of a problem that becomes, there is a space for improvement.
ConnectedText versus Ndxcards

I will not be using CT for the time being, but I liked the developer being impressively responsive, and that it is programmable (through Ruby, Python, and a few more).
MyInfo 4 Beta
10/9/2007
MyInfo 4 public beta was finally released.
The beta is not publically available, but I received a link in a short time after asking for it through contact form (without being a registered user).
Timeto PIM

The interface is most probably due to it being an old old old software. I remember I have probably tested Above&Beyond first time with Windows 3.1. Looooooong time ago.

I did, and use it occasionally. It's parent/sibling is Above&Beyond from 1soft.com.

OEM software is mostly scam.
They will either steal the billing data, or they will at best send you a trial version with a crack or keygen.
I would only buy OEM software from a reputable online store.
