Yeah, anti-Semitism isn’t funny.

But back ON topic. This thread made me go back and look at Trello. Maybe it’s me, but it looks like a hell of a tool these days. The UI is minimal, clean, and fast. Reordering is a breeze. A click flips the card and gives me a nice little palette for more granular information. For the kind of work I find myself doing these days, it’s pretty good.

So what’s the advantage of these tools presented here? Local storage (so privacy)?

Have you had a look at HyperPlan?  I find Trello to be a nice design, but not easy to use for anything complicated.  Although HyperPlan is not web-based, it seems like a more flexible design for a Kanban board-style program.

I don’t know if it was mentioned earlier, but airtable’s browser version has a nice kanban interface. Right now it still doesn’t work on the phone, but I think they might be working on it…

So the response to my first question (why isn’t Trello enough) comes down to the need for more sophisticated options for more complex situations. (Although I do like that Trello has iOS and Android apps, and I gather some of the others do not.)

The Airtable/Kanban combination was a revelation. My team does use Airtable for many things, and it hadn’t occurred to me to use existing data in another view. For more about this feature, https://support.airtable.com/hc/en-us/articles/229848887-Guide-to-kanban-view

Once again, a win for this forum!
