Also, I hope Sam is well!

Noteliner was imho the best outliner available on PC. (And Sam was always incredibly responsive and helpful.) Now it’s gone, along with Circus Ponies Notebook, which was my choice on Mac. Not a good period for outliners.

Most outliner users I know of use the software in conjunction with their writing. I’m not a writer—I use outlines to “run my life”. Even though they handled it differently, both Noteliner and Notebook allowed me to maintain a library of day-to-day, informational/technical, and project notes—along with an integrated “to do” capability that didn’t require time wasted on a separate “to do” list. With the demise of Notebook, I’ve reverted to using OmniOutliner, which at least provides competent outlining. I tried using OmniFocus for the “to do” piece, but it was way too much work to maintain vs the functionality it provided.

that doesn’t happen to me but maybe it’s because I have uBlock Origin (ad blocker) enabled.

Let’s hope he just forgot go renew the domain name subscription.

The noteliner.org domain is still good until 20 Dec 2016.  It looks like the web hosting account has been closed and the domain is parked back at GoDaddy until it expires.
