I knew it had to happen! The same day I mentioned Research Assistant as an 'obsolete', I noticed that new version appeared. Well, it was announced I think in 2001 or 2002 and nothing had happened until now... Anyhow, it is very simple, but easy to use, I would say, a decent program to keep various files and bookmarks necessary for a specific project together, annotate them, search, produce bibliographies, mark progress. No big deal, no plenty of features, but I found it useful for several of my research tasks and have been using it from time to time for several years.
