Steve, thanks for “translating” labels for me. I wasn’t sure what wjj meant by labels.

I am a liker of user-defined keywords, which explains my affinity for MDE InfoHandler.

I think it is a misnomer to index every word, as UR does, and then say these are the keywords. They are an index—whether each word is a keyword is another story.

Scholarsaid and Biblioscape both offer user defined keywords.

ADM also has user-defined keywords, but allows different sets of key words for the same data base. So, if for example, one has within the data base personal items, info on murder mysteries, plus sections on ecology/sustainability and pscyhology/therapy, there could be key word lists for each of those four areas.

ADM probably comes closest to InfoHandler in that respect.
