I agree; furthermore, I think it is non-realistic to expect the growing number and size of documents in a modern hard disk to be efficiently and effectively stored within some kind of container mega file.

However, the actual amount of original information within those files is often very small, compared to their size and number; how many of those files aren’t just separate versions of each other?

So my personal strategy is to work _from_ my cental infomation base, i.e. UltraRecall, and creative tools like Brainstorm, and only turn to saving my content as an individual file for final formatting, publishing and sharing.
