Not exactly an indexer, but Zoot searches Brainstorm models.

On my models, Zoot finds text at the instant I type the letters.

It also allows you read the text in the models (only first 32K) and organise the models by subject using keywords in the text and generally manage them in concert with other related files.

And of course Zoot will let you open the full model in Brainstorm.

It works well.

DTSearch also searches BRN files.

I am surpised that the other search engines don’t work, both Zoot and DTSearch pull out the text from every file I have ever tried, regardlesss of extension.

However, I have found Larry’s text file extender http://www.trivex.net that will tell Gooogle desktop to ignore the file extension and treat the file like a *.txt file. No idea if it will work with *.BRN files but it looks as if it should.

Graham
