I expect the new Windows Desktop Search, currently bundled with the Beta MSN Toolbar, will soon be an alternative that Idea! will be able to use, if only because of its Windows integration; see

This is Microsoft version of Lookout, mentioned sometime ago at this list; apparently it has excellent Outlook integration (hence the name); see
