Stephen,

It has been some years since I tried the outliner in Word, so at your challenge I went back to it to play around a little bit. I have to admit that it was a smoother operation than I had remembered, so I will eat crow a little about my assertion that it was confusing and unintuitive. However, I would continue to assert that it is no substitute for a genuine dedicated outliner… not that there many of those out there.
