If you don’t wish to use a calendar, don’t open it. On the other hand, if you are writing a biography, a calendar might be very useful.

Most automobiles have heaters. During the summer you don’t need a heater. Should the heater be a separate unit that you store in your garage during the summer and only attach it to your automobile when the weather turns cold? After all, making the heater a separate unit enables you to lighten your car’s weight during the summer and so get better gas mileage. In fact, there is a lot of equipment on your automobile that you only need sometimes.
