Thank you for your response. I will check ADM out. For now, InfoSelect seems to be the best product on the market. Next on the list is TreePad.

My main interest is in the ability to create networks of ideas: link documents that are stored at different place (inside or outside the program). Then, the program shall have a more sophisticated numbering capacity (legal format, 5 levels). Lastly, the program should allow several document to be open at the same time.

TreePad as a fairly good word processing / outlining capability; Hyperlink can be created between documents. Still, it’s not a very intuitive program, lots of rough angle.

InfoSelect seems to meet most of my requirements. Unfortunately, there is no trial version. Its presentation is also rather short. I could not evaluate its outlining capability and its hyperlink funbctions. But Infoselect can manage database.
