What I find unique about B-liner is the concept of a hierarchical spreadsheet. It makes the structuring / updating / reorganising of complex projects amazingly simple. To do the same thing in Excel is just too much work.
In fact, I think that B-liner has indeed been categorised as a “diagrammer” and that’s the reason I never seem to have seen it mentioned as an organisational tool.
IdeasPad looks interesting; if there was XML underneath instead of HTML I’d be tempted. Nowadays I’m convinced that XML is more or less a prerequisite for me to ensure future compatibility and avoid data re-entry. I turned to FreeMind ( http://freemind.sourceforge.net/ ) and am also trying out Leo ( http://leo.sourceforge.net/ ) for the same reason; both are freeware by the way.
