Someone recently put together a very thorough web page describing one possible way of using Emacs “org-mode” for GTD, and I thought I’d pass it along:

Org-mode is very advanced, but for people comfortable with Emacs or the Linux/UNIX types (or anyone looking for something fully cross-platform), it’s almost certainly worth the effort. It’s a combination outliner/PIM with support for tables, document generation, time tracking, strong task management and calendaring, etc. In many ways it is more advanced even than Ecco and InfoQube, and development is progressing rapidly.
