Intriguing new task-management software

I’ve now used The Hit List beta for a few days, and it’s potentially a very nice piece of software, lacking some important functionality and still prone to crashing occasionally.
I like Omnifocus quite a lot, but I don’t spend my working time chasing Next Actions and have not much need to spend effort working out to what extent a list of tasks is sequential or parallel. What would be ideal would be a Mac equivalent of Achieve Planner. But that doesn’t seem to exist - unless I’ve missed it?

I’ve taken a look at The Hit List, as well. It is certainly an elegant piece of software that “feels” good to use. However, it seems to me to be grossly over-priced, at least with its current feature set. You can pretty much do most of what THL does in an application like Circus Ponies Notebook, which costs the same as the introductory price for THL, and does so much more. With so many people already invested in other applications, I think THL is going to be a hard sell, even to CRIMPers, at $70. A better price point would probably be around $30.

Agreed, Steve. I suspect the developer was looking at Omnifocus when he set his price, but at $80 OF has more tools than THL promises and is in any case fairly toppy for this class of software. Things at $50 is also quite steep, and I was surprised to see MyLife Organized is now $60. It’s not even as if they invented the philosophy they all rely on. David Allen had a lot to do with that!
