This is an author who wrote prolifically on the topic of Lateral Thinking. Lateral Thinking seemed to gain some traction with outlining-type thinkers, but not with everyone else. Like Nathan Pritikin, he seemed to get chided for discussing topics out of his area of expertise. I still have a few of his books, and may try one or two of the most popular ones now that I have more free time.

RIP!

Thanks for this info. I have some of his books, Six Thinking Hats being my favourite. It’s a method primarily aimed at groups but I find it can be very useful for single thinkers as well.

Of direct relevance to this group may be the fact that Neil Larson had collected in Maxthink 50 context-free questions, suggested by De Bono, which can support thinking in any situation—well, assuming that the necessary time is available. I found the programme worth having for those questions alone.
