Interesting new Zettelkasten option (macOS/iOS)

I was doing one of my “why can’t I find the perfect card-based notetaking system?” trawls around the Mac App Store (in short, CRIMPing), when I found a rather nice little app called QwikCards that would be ideal for those following the Zettelkasten way.

It’s deceptively powerful. I won’t go into detail here, because it’s late, but do take a look at the (rather terse) website at https://www.qwikcards.com for some insights. Contrary to what appears on the website, it does in fact support rich-text formatting (basic but sufficient). And has a really excellent search function with highlighting of hit terms etc.

The only real bug I’ve found so far is when syncing between my iPad and Mac: the rich text I formatted on the Mac disappears on the iPad (even though the iPad app also supports rich text!). Not sure what will happen when I sync back again… I’ve let the developer know.
