logseq.com looks like it is still in early development, but worth keeping an eye on. Bullet lists, backlinks, markdown, syncs with Github, etc. (Not everything is working right yet.)

This looked good to me so I downloaded it when this thread was made, but haven’t had time to play with it.

Would be nice to have all the Roam Research alts in one place, like Luhmann’s Roam Research-like knowledge manages thread. But the links might get buried in discussion.

Or even better a fast one page blog (blogger or WordPress). Or even faster a pastebin page which takes no time at all (to edit needs registering, can setup a fast email account eg: mail.com) or other pastebin alternatives. Then can make a new thread here with that blog/pastebin link in OP, listing all the Roam-like alts. I lost count how many there are now.

Hope to play with this one next weekend.

The closest thing I know of to such a list is this one:

https://www.notion.so/Artificial-Brain-Networked-notebook-app-a131b468fc6f43218fb8105430304709

But I personally would like a list that worked more like this one:

https://brettterpstra.com/ios-text-editors/

I love how easy it is to filter the list…

Thanks, my main point was your suggestions of Roam/obsidian-like alternatives is being lost across threads and being buried in between comments.

And make a fresh thread with a few external links (as some online boats will go out of business) in the OP of that new thread. As can’t edit posts here. So your list of alternatives can be accessed and updated by you in those external links.

This can be a blog, or a simple pastebin page as I said, or somewhere in between like a shared workflowy or dynalist list or similar. The few other alternative lists on other websites are already dated and I think you’re the best man for the job, not just here but online too. It will bring new users to the forum too as they Google.
