Looking for a way to collaborate with documents online

I am working on some teaching documents with another user in India. We both have Nisus Writer Pro3 (macOS) which is the format the documents are in. I thought this would be rather easy, but Dropbox doesn’t allow you to share folders using your own space only, the shared folder has to be added to both dropbox accounts and would mean an upgrade for one user. Also Evernote would also require an upgrade to premium.

All we really need is a space for all the documents to go so we can both access them.

Any ideas?

A very pleasant environment that also acts as a chatroom is SamePage (samepage.io), which has a Free tier which is more than adequate for sharing documents, hosting (lengthy) chats and various other useful features.

I use it for various social groups I’m involved in, and most people immediately take to it and comment on how user-friendly it is.

Cheers!
Bill

Oh, and you get 2GB of storage, too, so a not insignificant amount considering it’s free.
