List of Networked notebook apps

Someone put together a list of “networked notebook apps” on Notion. I find some of the groupings problematic. (For instance it lists apps as having “backlinks” when they only have “wikilinks” but not true backlinks.) Still, there are some apps I hadn’t heard of:

That’s one mega list! Pretty awesome actually. There’s some pretty interesting ones in there.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you find this list?

It looks like your daily ‘crimp google searches’ are more fruitful than mine!

Many of the top apps (Roam, Obsidian, etc.) now have discussion forums. Sometimes on Discord or Slack. Each of these now also includes a channel for discussion about other software that does similar things. I’ve found these are the best places to find such information. I think this particular list was in the Discord for Athens, which is an attempt to replicate Roam as an open source project.
