Received a teaser note today from Petko Georgiev saying that it's time for him to release MyInfo 7 and to expect a more detailed announcement in 2-3 days.
The one notable piece of information is:
"The core of MyInfo was rewritten from scratch, making it not only faster and easier for future extensions, but also cross-platform. This means that now it will be possible to create MyInfo versions for other devices like phones, tables, and computers running operating systems different than Windows."

Version 7 is being offered today (at a generously discounted price) to current subscribers, and I gather that a more general release will be available within a week or two.
I haven't had a chance to try it out yet (though I have played around with the betas from time to time), but what immediately caught my eye is that the announcements and official communications coming from Petko are much more slickly professional than they used to be. I take this as a sign that he is now aiming at a broader market. I hope so. MyInfo has always been an excellent app and deserves to be better known.

Ooooh, interesting. MyInfo is a top contender in my search for my PIM fit. Since my PIM software budget is quite limited I think Ill hold off on any purchase till I see whats up in version 7. I very much like what I see from MyInfo and DoogiePIM.

In my CRIMP wandering in search of the app that I´m settling, i've been enjoying myInfo more and more. Hope that V7 opens the foundation to a mobile app still in this decade....

I'd suggest you add BitsDuJour to your daily routine if you don't already.
https://www.bitsdujour.com/pc-download
You'll find sales of around 1/2 off original price on a lot of the top Info Managers usually yearly or bi-yearly, whenever they decide to put them up there. It's up to the developer so you never know when.
They've had MyInfo, RightNote, Ultra Recall and others on there in the last few years. Just check it daily.

I don't think it's a good approach to guard this new release as if it's some highly classified multi-billion NSA project. At one point after numerous delays with the release date, I was starting to believe that this is turning into vaporware but to my positive surprise, v7 seems to actually exist after all. Sadly, so far I have not seen even one screenshot and I've looked through the updated help file. IMO if the product is well made, you have to allow word-of-mouth to capture a larger market.

I do think so...
In the milenix foruns the develper is talking about v7 in posts that goes as far as 2017... Now that it is actually on sale.... I think it should be some mention to it in the website...

As an old subscriber, I have been able to download version 7 of MyInfo, and I gather that others will be able to do so soon.
Every developer has his own style. Petko has always been extremely cautious and slow in releasing new versions of MyInfo. I too have found that frustrating at times, but I have gradually come to accept that as his way of doing things. While I agree that he could be more aggressive in promoting MyInfo, I'm grateful that his caution also means that it is generally bug-free.

Current v6 owners can contact him to upgrade to v7 for a week or two now. He's making a new website for v7 he says, once done it'll be launched officially.

Petko, as usual, is moving very slowly. MyInfo version 7 has still not been released to the general public (only current subscribers). I have been looking at it carefully, and it seems promising, but there are still bugs. The odd thing is that there is a new release every few days. It seems to me that Petko is treating the version for subscribers as, in effect, another beta.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but any word on version 7? Version 6 was released almost a decade ago. People have been talking about the “imminent” release of Version 7 since WSP wrote this on 1-21-2014:
“I’m rather late in spotting this, but I’ve just noticed that when MyInfo was on sale on BitsDuJour in December, Petko offered a few interesting details about version 7 of MyInfo, which he says will be released this year.“ .... Yes, that was 2014 - and it is still not available to the public. I like MyInfo but have always been scared off by Petko’s very, very, v e r y, slow work, and the promises rarely kept. If he does that with release dates...you get the idea. All while asking $100 for his software. With all that said, does anyone know what’s going on with MyInfo? I know, it’s easy to criticize, but waiting (what will be seven years in just two months) so long after a promised new version seems like something that legitimately deserves criticism. But I’m still curious about V7. I know some of you have used it, but what about the general public?

It is a great app, sadly one I no longer use because Mac, but I’d be very pleased to see it on macOS.
Perhaps he was unusually prescient and has simply been awaiting the perfect moment (so he could create a universal app for macOS/iOS alongside the Windows one)?
Or not, of course… ;-)

There have been about a half dozen maintenance releases over the past year, the latest (7.0.8) on November 13.
Still no information on when MyInfo 7 will be offered to anyone beyond the V.6 users (limited to 450, according to Petko) who purchased the original upgrade in January.
To be honest, while version 7 is a big improvement over version 6, I haven't used it much and don't see it as having much of a future.

I've used MyInfo in its various incarnations for many years. I've always found Petko extremely courteous and helpful, but his marketing techniques are odd, to say the least.

P.S. I should just add that I have been using MyInfo 7 heavily in recent months, and though it's still a little buggy around the edges, I find it a pleasant and reliable app. I admit that I am probably not making heavy demands on the software (mostly just straightforward note-taking), but it seems reliable to me. I'm happy to have it on my screen as an alternative to Evernote (which is going through a terrible phase right now).
I'm afraid I have no light to shed on how to purchase MyInfo 7. I upgraded from version 6 last January.
