Plain Text folder inside iCloud Drive.
Incidentally, if you happen to overwrite something (happened to me a few times because of iCloud not syncing for minutes) it is helpful to know that you can open any of those text files for the respective days in Textedit and choose
Revert to—> Browse all versions
