Does anyone know the Manuel Lima Visualization books?

The following raised my attention and i might consider buying them.

The Book of Trees: Visualizing Branches of Knowledge

The Book of Circles: Visualizing Spheres of Knowledge

This is the older book which seem to have some overlapping content, but hard to tell from the TOC

Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information

I’ve read a lot in the new field he is authoring in and have all 3 of above. The complexity one is the better than the other two, related yet to another field, he does not really touch. He basically collects pictures he likes in them. There are better books, which ones depends on one’s area(s) of interest though.
