Hi, if you’re interested - GAOTD offer today both Evernote 2.2 full version as well as Evernote Beta:

Um. I don’t work for Evernote by the way, in fact I’m a happy owner of OneNote 2007 :)

Just a short thumbs-up for Evernote 3.0 beta which I’ve been using recently on an experimental basis. What it offers appears so simple and straightdforward that one would expect to find it in just about every PIM nowadays, but the reality is far from it. Here it is in a nutshell:

- Easy import of material: drag and drop, clipboard monitor, web clipping etc
- Easy search: the program indexes content in the background; those with English (and a few others) as a working language will have OCR of handwritten notes as a bonus.
- Web integration: the application features a web client that is very similar to the desktop application. Work locally or online, as you prefer.
- Web sync: very straightforward and fast synchronising of web and desktop info.
- Web publish: one can choose to make certain notebooks ‘public’, i.e. viewable from anyone through a browser.
- E-mail input: the web account provides you with an e-mail account that automatically enters messages in your default notebook.
- Multiple notebooks (databases): you can have separate notebooks for separate themes and search them—even view them- all at once, i.e. records from all databases shown in the same list.

I’m sure I’m missing a few points but these are the things that impress me the most.
