Evernote irony

So in recent days I’ve been exploring the idea of using Evernote more aggressively for my note-building and management needs. It works on all my devices and notes stay well synchronized. That is until the release of 8.0 for iOS just a couple of days ago. Now Evernote crashes on my iPad every time I try to run it. So much for that idea!

Anyone else experience this problem?

@Pierre Paul Landry—the topic of the thread you pointed to is iOS 8—Steve’s posting was about Evernote 8.  Different context.

Steve—I’ve been using Evernote 8 on iOS 10.2 for a few days since the Evernote update and haven’t seen an issue.  I’ve often found that when the App Store installs a major upgrade on top of the existing app that there can be constant crashes on launching the new version.  I’d suggest the obvious—try a hard reboot.  If that doesn’t succeed, then delete Evernote, reboot again, then install Evernote from the App Store.  These procedures usually work for me.  For example, DEVONthink to Go never works after I’ve upgraded it, and I have to go through the rigamarole of reinstalling.  It’s an annoyance, but I think it’s due to iOS more than the app you’re trying to use.

Good luck.

Thanks, Paul. That did the trick.

Shame on me… I should have known that a 2 year old thread was not relevant… though in the end, the solution then was the same the current: Un-install and re-install

Next time I’ll triple check before posting !
