OS X 10.11.4 is out today and includes the promised feature to import Evernote notes into the Apple Notes app.  Well, it does do to that.  You have to export from Evernote first—be sure to use .enex export and not .html.  Then import to Notes.

I did a sample of about 200 notes to see how it went.  Most of my notes are loaded with assets—pdf, images, web page clippings.  None of the notes imported looking anything like they do in Evernote.  Notes does not do inline PDF previews, so you have to use Preview or Quick Look.  Clipped web pages usually look pretty good in Evernote.  They usually look pretty bad in Notes.

As with everything—success depends on the format of the notes in your own library of Evernote notes.
