I’ve just discovered DropCopy, a seriously natty way to copy files or clipboard contents from one Mac or iDevice to another. This dual functionality puts it ahead of many other clipboard agents.

The desktop version is free for up to 3 devices. The mobile version costs a bit, but not much.

It works extremely well, instantly spotting any Mac/iOS devices (running DropCopy) on the local network (via Bonjour). You can copy both ways.

It’s more convenient than AirDrop, because it doesn’t rely on e.g. Bluetooth. Also, it’s very quick!

All versions are available from the various App Stores; the desktop version can also be downloaded from the DropCopy website (http://10base-t.com/macintosh-software/dropcopy/)

Enjoy!
