Hi Bob.

THAT Mini would be sufficient for Indesign and Devonthink, don’t know about Swift. Have you checked the refurbished products in the Apple online store?
Any monitor would do. For older monitors you might need an adapter for the HDMI port on the Mini. A Bluetooth or USB keyboard will do, but you might want to consider an original Apple keyboard because of the Apple keyboard mapping.

I have tried some hosted solutions and my experience is they were too slow. A better solution for me was to leave my Mac always on at home and access it from a Windows machine using Google Chrome Remote Desktop.
